Vinny does not just perform.
Vinny has given a TEDx Talk on the importance of identity and visibility.
She has given lectures at law schools and businesses on the topics of representation and the history of LGBTQ+ discrimination.
And, Vinny is an award-winning, published legal author on how laws banning or limiting drag performances violate the First Amendment.
Activism
Vinny has also spoken on local media channels to educate the public about drag and why efforts to ban drag performances are misguided and rooted in anti-LGBTQ+ bias.
Additionally, Vinny (as Brett) has testified in front of state legislatures to explain how proposed anti-drag legislation violates the First Amendment and why it would likely invite successful legal challenges.
